One theory has it that ancient man noticed that when grease from meat on the campfire dripped into the ash, an odd, foamy substance that was great for cleaning would form. That’s because ash is full of caustic, and when caustic and oil are mixed, we get soap.
 
At Aspire, we know that we can reduce the environmental footprint of the soap by using caustic from wood ash, instead of buying refined caustic that comes from mines.
